Around Morocco in 10 pictures
Last week Julie and I took a 10 year anniversary trip to Morocco. It was Julie’s first time to Africa and my first time to North Africa. We had a blast and owe a big thanks to our parents who watched our kids while we were gone.
Here is our trip told through 10 pictures:

2. The fortified city of Aït Benhaddou where films like Lawrence of Arabia, The Jewel of the Nile and Gladiator were filmed.

6. After spending the night in the desert, our guide is preparing us for the 90 minute ride back to civilization.

7. We spent the night in a Berber tent at the base of a big dune and ate a local dish known as tagine.

8. The Medina in the city of Fes has 9000 narrow alleys and over 200,000 inhabitants. Here is the tannery that dyes and crafts leather goods.

10. We came home to 7 inches of snow in Dallas! Ashley and Abby enjoyed the last day of spring break.
There are many more pictures and even better memories from our whirlwind tour through Morocco. We also saw old friends and made news ones along the way. Morocco is a beautiful country with a rich history. It was an amazing place to celebrate 10 fantastic years of marriage.

Fantastic pics! So glad the trip went well!
Wow! Picture 6 of the camels’ shadows is phenomenal! Possible photo contest entrant??? Glad it was a great trip!
Awesome pics! Thanks for sharing your trip and giving us the ‘inside view’ of Morocco. You camped in the desert!! I’m not sure I would have been up for that part==heard the desert comes alive at night and I wouldn’t want to meet them!
So glad you enjoyed your trip celebrating 10 years!
I lived in Morocco for 5 months. Wasn’t Fez awesome?! Looks like you had a good trip
