Sharing the Load of Leadership – A Lesson From the Book of Numbers
My friend and pastor at my church (Buddy) preached on the importance of scriptures this past Sunday and it couldn’t have come at a better time.
You are probably familiar with the verses in 2 Timothy 3 that says:
All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.
Well, I am reading (wading) through the book of Numbers right now — so I needed that reminder that all of Scripture is useful.
I was thankful to find a great nugget about leadership in Numbers 11. God tells Moses to gather 70 elders and officers so that they could share in the burden of leadership. I am grateful for Phil, Scott, Marc and Justin who help share the burden of leadership here at our ministry.
