New David Nasser series on King David
Yesterday I watched a roughcut of David Nasser standing in a field in Israel teaching about King David.
It wasn’t just any field, it was the Valley of Elah were the young, unassuming boy David fought and killed Goliath. I love what Nasser said about David … “that day David woke up thinking he was to deliver food to his brothers on the front lines, but God used him to deliver a nation.”
Seeing the valley in the background and recounting the scriptural account was inspiring to watch yesterday. Again, the visuals brought a new perspective to scripture.
Last May two of our producers (Phil and Josh) took Nasser to Israel to film several teaching sessions on the life of Jesus and the life of David. We already released the teachings on Jesus in a series called Why Jesus?.
Now we are putting together a study on the life of David. I am eager to see the other sessions as they are edited together.
