Clean Water for 3000 Haitians
2010 January 26
by Brian Mosley
- One guy led the charge.
- Dozens of people traded in self-interest to give to others in need.
- $24,000 was raised.
- Thousands will have clean water.
Two weeks ago I wrote about one of our team members challenging the rest of us to “do something” about Haiti. Daniel encouraged us to raise money for water filtration buckets. Each bucket provides clean water for 6 people for 6 months.
Our office stepped up to the challenge and gave $4,400 through individuals and $4,400 through a matching gift from the ministry.
His small group and church stepped up and gave nearly $15,000.
Let’s continue to pray that this water quenches their physical thirst and that churches and ministries can bring people to Jesus to quench their spiritual thirst.
Thanks Daniel for encouraging us to be traders!
